Eve-teasers in custody despite excuses Girl students harassed in co-op

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 19: Two Arab nationals were arrested recently for harassing the students of Basic Education Faculty for Women inside and outside Shamiya Cooperative Society branch in Block 9.

Reportedly, when reporters from Al-Seyassah daily noticed two individuals standing frequently in front of the Shamiya Cooperative Society opposite the gate of Basic Education Faculty for girls and saw them chasing and harassing the students outside and inside the Cooperative Society, the daily contacted the Assistant Undersecretary of Ministry of Interior for Criminal Security Affairs Major General Abdulhameed Al-Awadhi.
Securitymen from Capital Governorate were immediately dispatched to the location to observe and arrest the two individuals.

After confirming the information given by the daily, securitymen arrested the two suspects.

During interrogations, they revealed they are married and were merely waiting for their wives in front of the college after dropping them there. One among the suspects is unemployed.

Security sources revealed that even though the suspects initially denied the accusations, they eventually admitted that they harassed the students after securitymen showed them photographs taken of them in action.
