Sheikha ‘mauled’ in family row Prominent trader’s son held

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 18: The son of a prominent Kuwaiti businessman was arrested recently for striking his Sheikha wife, using a taser on her and kidnapping her along with their five-year-old son from the parking lot of a French school in Salmiya.
Reportedly, the victim went to a French school in Salmiya to pick her five-year-old son when she noticed her husband approaching her holding a taser. He opened the door of her vehicle and pulled her out, after which he hit her and used the taser on her. He then pulled her to his vehicle along with their child.
He took them to his house in Abdullah Al-Salem Area where he attacked her several times.  Eventually, she managed to escape from the house with her son and rushed to police station of the area after receiving treatment for her injuries from a nearby hospital. She lodged a complaint against her husband and submitted medical report indicating the injuries she sustained during the ordeal.
Securitymen rushed to the suspect’s house and arrested him. They referred him to the police station, where during interrogations, he revealed that they were separated and there are some former family disputes between them.
Necessary legal action was taken against him and a case was registered.

Indians held with liquor: Three Indian expatriates were arrested recently in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh for possession of 22 bottles of locally brewed liquor and one kilogram of betel leaves.
Reportedly, while securitymen were patrolling Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, they stopped a vehicle with two occupants for checking and discovered they are Indian expatriates.
Sensing their fear, securitymen checked their vehicle and found 22 bottles of locally brewed liquor and one kilogram of betel leaves.
They were arrested and referred with the items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them.

Kuwaiti held drunk:
A Kuwaiti citizen was arrested recently in Farwaniya for drunk driving and harassing passersby by throwing stones at them.
Reportedly, when a passerby informed some patrol officers about the Kuwaiti citizen and provided them details about the vehicle, they patrolled the area and found the vehicle of the Kuwaiti citizen. They stopped him and checked his details. When they detected the smell of alcohol, they arrested and referred him to the police station for interrogations.
