Spicy biscuits
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all purpose flour;
- 3/4 cup butter (at room temp.);
- 1 tsp chili powder;
- 1” piece ginger (minced);
- 1 tsp cumin seeds;
- 1 or 2 green/dry red chilies (minced);
- 2 strands curry leaves (minced);
- 1/2 tsp baking soda; a pinch asafetida;
- 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste);
- 2 tsp sugar.
Method:
Mix all the above ingredients together in a bowl to get a nice dough. If the dough is not moist enough add 2-3 tbsp of curd. Grease an aluminum foil and roll out the dough into a big circle 1 “thick. Using a cookie cutter or any bottle lid, cut out into desired cookie shapes. Place the cut out cookies on a greased baking dish and bake it for 15 - 20 minutes in an oven preheated to 325 degrees F.
