Greed lands Kuwaiti work permit trafficker in trouble

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 17: An Egyptian man has filed a complaint with the Security Sector of the General Immigration Department against his sponsor, reports Al-Rai daily.
The complainant said the sponsor is demanding from him KD 700 to renew his residence permit although he has paid the man KD 3,000 over the past five years.
When the department checked the file of the sponsor, officers found the man has recruited a large number of Egyptians in the name of the same establishment but they are not working for that establishment.
The file of the establishment has been closed and the sponsor will be summoned for interrogation.

Ruckus on plane: Security officers from the Kuwait International Airport recently whisked away an unidentified passenger from a GCC state as soon as the inbound plane landed at the airport and referred him to the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station for causing chaos aboard the aircraft, reports Al-Anba daily.
The daily added the pilot contacted the control tower when the passenger turned boisterous and refused to abide by rules.
When the youth was taken to the police station he allegedly insulted a police officer on duty. According to reports the passenger was high on alcohol.

Bedoun nabbed: Police have taken into custody an unidentified bedoun for attempting to burglarize the Jareer Stationery Shop in Hawalli, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The arrest came when police received a call from workers in the shop when they found someone had broken into the shop.
When police reached the spot they found the suspect lying on the floor. He was unconscious and was allegedly high on drugs. Police found next to the suspect heroin and narcotic pills in addition to the loot which he was planning to escape with. The bedoun has been referred to the authorities.
In almost an identical incident, police have arrested an unidentified bedoun for possessing and consuming drugs and attempting to break into the home of a Kuwaiti man in Salwa, reports Annahar daily.
The suspect was arrested after the owner of the house called the Operations Department of the Interior Ministry.
A police patrol rushed to the location and arrested the bedoun. At the time of the arrest he was under the influence of drugs. Police have seized from him a quantity of heroin and referred him to the authorities.
Police records show he was wanted by law in connection with several offences and had also been sentenced in absentia to five years imprisonment.

Asian robbed: Police are looking for unidentified burglar for breaking into the home of an Asian man in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and stealing two laptop computers, two video cams, four gold bracelets and one passport, reports Al-Anba Daily.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit.
