Citizen claims buying 9mm pistol from Pakistani dealer for KD 300 Securitymen arrest 59 persons, seize 6 vehicles

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 11: Officers from Ahmadi Security Directorate arrested 59 individuals, seized six vehicles and issued 43 citations against various traffic violations during security campaigns that were held last two days.
Among the arrested individuals, 11 were wanted by law while the remaining 48 were found without a Civil ID or valid residency. They were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them.
The seized vehicles were referred to the Seized-Vehicles garage of Ministry of Interior.

Pistol seized: Police have arrested an unidentified Kuwait man who is believed to be in his 20s for possessing a 9 mm pistol. He was taken into custody while driving along the Fifth Ring Road, reports Al-Shahed daily quoting security sources.
The sources added, the accused during interrogation, has allegedly confessed to buying the weapon from a Pakistani for KD 300.
The sources pointed out the security agencies are looking for the Pakistani because according to the arrested person the man has various types of weapons for sale.
The sources have not ruled out the possibility of the Pakistani running a weapons selling syndicate in Kuwait.
The sources also said the General Administration of the Criminal Investigation Department has yet to identify the Pakistani. Nonetheless, vigorous attempts have been exerted to nab the man.
According to reliable sources, the Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior for Special Security Affairs Lieutenant-Major Suleiman Al-Fahd is personally supervising the case because it concerns national security.
Some security sources say these vested interests are taking advantage of the political crisis and exploiting the situation for their benefit.

Drugs seized: A Kuwaiti citizen was arrested recently at Al-Salmi border for possession of 2 grams of hashish after arriving from a GCC country.
Reportedly, when Al-Salmi border securitymen were checking the citizen’s vehicle at the border checkpoint, they found the drugs hidden in the trunk.
The suspect was arrested and referred with the drugs to Directorate General for Drug Control for necessary legal action against him.
Meanwhile, Abdali border securitymen confiscated some items used for sorcery and black magic from the bag of an Iraqi national at the border checkpoint.
Reportedly, after the suspect arrived at Abdali border checkpoint to enter the country, securitymen checked his luggage and found the items.
When they questioned the suspect, he revealed that the items belong to a resident of Kuwait to whom he was delivering the items.
He was arrested and referred with the items to the General Department for Criminal Evidences for necessary legal action against him.
