Can I come to the country before the visa expires but after the six-month limit?

I left the country on Sept 16, 2012 and my residence expires on May 13, 2013. I can’t return to Kuwait within the six-month period allowed outside the country. Can I come to the country before the visa expires but after the six-month limit. Alternatively, after my residence has expired can I get a new visa and return to Kuwait.

Answer:
No, you can’t come to the country on the same visa after the six-month limit even if your residence is still valid. The Immigration Dept automatically stops your re-entry into the country even if one minute has passed beyond the six-months.
So, the only option you have is to get a new visa but you have to remember that even though your residence will be cancelled by the Immigration Dept, your work permit will not.
So, first your company will have to get the current work permit cancelled before the Ministry of Social Affairs & Labor okays a new work permit.
Only after your firm has got the new work permit can they approach the Immigration Dept for an entry visa.
