‘Bad reputation’ poll hopeful caught drunk with girl in car Ex-candidates sued for holding illegal protests

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 4: An unidentified Kuwaiti citizen, who had registered for candidacy in the recent parliamentary elections but was rejected due to bad reputation and involvement in several legal cases, was arrested recently in Salmiya for consumption of alcohol, reports Al-Rai daily.
When securitymen received a tip-off on the ex-parliamentary candidate’s illegal activities, they caught him driving a vehicle with a girl in Salmiya under the influence of alcohol.
He was arrested and referred to the Enforcement Department for action on the financial case in which he was involved.

Trio sued: Ministry of Interior has filed a case against three Kuwaiti citizens for organizing unlicensed demonstrations in Jahra, issuing offensive phrases against HH the Amir and causing harm to the residents of the area, reports Al-Shahid daily.
The suspects are former candidates Mohammad Tana, Hussein Al-Saeedi and Fuhaid Al-Hailam.
