Dejected driver kills himself Cash stolen from car

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 2: An Asian driver took his life by hanging himself with a rope tied to the ceiling fan inside his room at his sponsors residence in Al-Hateen area, reports Alam Al-Yawm daily.
Apparently, the sponsor (Kuwaiti) knocked at the door of the driver several times and when he received no response, he opened the door and found the corpse dangling from the ceiling.
It is reported the driver had received a letter from his wife asking for divorce. The corpse has since been deposited to Forensics.

Cash stolen: Police are looking for a thief who broke the side glass of a car belonging to an Egyptian man working as Mandoub for a domestic labor office and escaped with KD 1,700 cash, reports Al-Rai daily.
The car was parked in a public park at Jleeb Shuyoukh area when the crime took place, and personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit.

Family saved: Timely arrival of firefighters saved a Kuwaiti family when fire engulfed their house in Sabahiya area, reports Al-Shahed daily.
Firefighters rushed to the house and prevented the fire from spreading, in the course of which a fireman inhaled smoke and suffered breathing difficulty. He was treated on the spot.

‘Ill’ woman found: A Kuwaiti woman in her 40s who had run away from the Psychiatric Hospital few days ago has been found by police, reports Al-Rai daily.
Earlier, securitymen received missing persons report from the hospital and the patient’s family and began searching for her. She was found walking along a major road in Salmiya, in bad health, and was sent back to the hospital.

Mine detonated: Explosives experts detonated a land mine found in Sebbiya, reports Al-Shahed daily.
A Kuwaiti man called the Operations Department of the Interior Ministry reporting he saw a landmine, and securitymen barricaded the area, as experts detonated the mine. A case was registered.

Thieves shocked: Police are looking for some individuals who broke into to a restaurant in Nuzha and escaped with a quantity of foodstuff, including vegetables, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The thieves must have been shocked when they broke open three cash machines and found no money. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have since lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits.
