Court orders MoE, CSC to pay employee KD 205 perks monthly Syrian contractor cheats citizen of KD 10,000

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 30: The Division Ten of Administrative Court presided over by Judge Emad Al-Habib ordered Ministry of Education and Civil Service Commission to pay KD 175 supervision and KD 30 incentive allowances to a ministry employee on a monthly basis, as well as allowances from May 27th 2010 in a case filed by the latter.
According to the court files, the plaintiff was working on a second contract as the head of a department at a school in Jahra.
On Nov 27, 2001, the Undersecretary of Ministry of Education had issued the decision to establish administrative departments in schools with specific responsibilities. On 27 May 2010, the Civil Service Commission issued the decision to pay professional allowances to Kuwaiti employees in public sector, as well as KD 175 supervision allowance on monthly basis for second contract employees and KD 30 allowance for departmental heads.
Plaintiff Lawyer Mohammad Abazera’e informed the court that the ministry had wrongly deprived his client of the benefits stated in both decisions.

Man cheated of KD 10,000: Police are looking for an unidentified Syrian contractor for cheating a Kuwaiti man to the tune of KD 10,000, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to security sources, the suspect was given a contract to renovate the house but after taking the money as advance payment, he escaped and switched off his cell-phone.

KD 350m in bank account found: A Kuwaiti man, whose identity has not been disclosed, was recently quoted as saying he was shocked when he discovered a bank balance of KD 350 million into his account, reports Al-Jaridah daily.
According to sources the citizen withdrew money from a bank branch and when he checked the withdrawal slip, he was shocked when the slip showed a huge balance. He added, all that he knows is his bank balance should have been KD 700.

Egyptian electrocuted: The remains of an unidentified Egyptian electrician who was electrocuted while repairing electrical transformer at the home of a Kuwaiti man, have been referred to Forensics, reports Al-Rai daily.
Acting on information paramedics and police rushed to the spot and found the man dead.
Police are investigating the circumstances leading to the death of the victim.

MoH confab as part of polls:
The Conference and Exhibition of Facilities of the Medical Emergency Department took place Wednesday at Sabhan, as part of the Health Ministry’s preparations toward the parliamentary elections scheduled for Saturday, Dec 1, 2012.
The event was attended by Head of the Ambulance Unit Fared Al-Yahyooh on behalf of the Undersecretary of Health Khaled Al-Sahlawi. Also in attendance was a delegation from the US embassy, in addition to many other officials of the department.

119 traffic citations issued: The Operations and Patrols Department of the Ahmadi Governorate during security inspection campaigns are said to have issued 119 citations for reckless motorists and arrested six people who were wanted by law and referred them to the concerned authorities, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The police have also impounded six vehicles and referred the motorists to the competent authorities for making stunts with their cars.
The police have also arrested 95 expatriates for staying in the country illegally.
