Officer to die for killing colleague in cold blood

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 28: The Court of Appeals presided over by Judge Abdullah Al-Sane upheld the verdict of First Instance Court which had sentenced an officer to death by hanging for shooting his colleague in front of the latter’s house.
According to the court files, both the suspect and victim were serving in the Kuwaiti military under the same rank. On the day of the crime, the suspect, who was armed with a air gun, followed the victim to his house, where he shot him and left him dying in a pool of his own blood.
At the court, lawyers Najeeb Al-Waqyan and Ali Al-Asfour requested the court to punish the suspect for his crime against the victim.

Kuwaiti in drug peddling: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti man for trafficking in heroin, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
A security source said a police patrol on routine duty in Salmiya suspected a motorist and ordered him to pull over.
Police found the citizen wanted by law in several felons and seized four sachets of heroin from his car.

Teacher robbed: Police are looking for an unidentified burglar who allegedly broke into the house of an Egyptian teacher in Nugra and stole KD 400 cash, two laptops and two bags containing expensive clothes, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted the fingerprints to identify the culprit.
