Foul play suspected as body of Filipina found in manhole Arab expat held in muggings; Pakistani arrested

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 28: A Filipina woman was found dead inside a manhole within the compound of a house in Yarmouk.
According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received a report about an Asian housemaid found dead inside a manhole within the house compound of her sponsor, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location with officers from General Department of Criminal Evidences and pulled the corpse out of the manhole. They lifted fingerprints from the site and collected evidence for investigations.
The corpse was referred to the Forensics Department for autopsy.
Meanwhile, the Capital Public Investigation Department started an intensive investigation to determine the circumstances behind the death of the Filipina. A case of suicide and suspected murder was registered due to the presence of blood found at the site even though there are no signs of violence on the corpse.

Arab expat held: An Arab expatriate was arrested recently for attacking several citizens and expatriates after they left banks and robbing them of their money.
Reportedly, Salwa police station received several complaints from citizens and expatriates about an unidentified individual who drives a vehicle and had scraped out the vehicle number from the number plate. They explained that the suspect watches them when they leave banks and follows them to their destination, where he attacks them and takes their money.
Officers from General Department of Criminal Evidences affiliated to the Investigation Department of Salwa police station formed a team for investigations.
Analyzing the reports, they noted the similarities in all the robberies and took down the description of the suspect from the victims.
Using the derived information, they placed security checkpoints in front of some banks to stop and investigate any suspected vehicles and at one of these checkpoints, they suspected an individual matching the description and took him to the police station. They summoned some victims who identified the individual as the culprit.
He was detained at the police station for further investigations and will be referred to the Public Prosecution for necessary legal action against him.
General Department of Criminal Evidences announced that the citizens and expatriates who were victimized by the suspect should go to Salwa police station to retrieve their robbed money.

Pakistani arrested: A Pakistani expatriate was arrested recently for attempting to smuggle 2,000 narcotic pills into the country through Abdali border checkpoint.
According to security sources, a border security officer suspected the Pakistani driver of a heavy vehicle when he arrived at Abdali border checkpoint. They checked the vehicle and found the drugs.
The suspect was arrested and referred with the items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him.
