Team XXX eliminate Bowling Stones Al Qwassem bowl to top as Android Rollers roll past Kuwait Energy

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 28: Team XXX eliminated Bowling Stones at the season 3 tournament of the Indian Bowling League (IBL) played in the Bowl Room of the 360 Mall. In the opening match, pitting Dubop against Street Bowlers, Dubop won the game with a total of 762 as against 743 pin-falls for Street Bowlers. Street Bowlers turned the tables in game two by beating Dubop with a total of 697 pinfalls as against 610 for the opposition. The final game was captured by Street Bowlers who walked away with a total of 677-649 pinfall win in their favor in game three. With a grand total of 2117 pin-falls, Street Bowlers won the game with a comfortable 96 pin-fall margin against Dubop who finished with 2021 pin-falls  Street Bowlers thus earn 20 points and Dubop 5 points. The Dubop team members consist of Bala Subramaniam, Ramona Soares, Roy Vaz, Ram Kumar, Shaun Pinto, Cleona D’Souza, Vishal Lala and Kamran Shaikh. The “Pin-busters” Street Bowlers team is made up of Celine Fernandes, Clinton Suares, Savio D’Souza, Sree Kumar Mankuzy, Arvind Sree Kumar and Amaldo Fernandes.


Also in the Bowling Wizards vs. Hope match, Hope who are fairly new to the Tenpin Bowling Game took on Bowling Wizards in the second game.  Hope managed to hold off the Wizard who play on a professional level, matching them boot for boot, but eventually lost the fist game 622-754. The Wizards finished the game with a 5-point lead. Game two saw the newbies still struggling to catch up with their more experienced opponents, losing again 603-731 in total pin-falls. In the third and final game, Hope finally pulled through with a 766- 669 total pin-falls brushing aside Bowling Wizards’ bluff. The overall winners of the game were however Bowling Wizards with 20 points while Hope finished with 5 points.


The heroes of the Hope team were Sharifa Haji, Shahad Hajji, Faisal Al Zamanan, Abdullah Hamis, Mohammed Al Hoti and Aziz Al Saad. Bowlers of Bowling Wizard included Nasha King, Hanadi Almezaiel, Mohannad Ebrahim, Nourie Amiri, Jassim Darwish, Jun Guerra and Saud Khalid.
The New Stars, a fairly average team and new to Season three have had surprising wins earlier in the season. Alley Masters took off with a 2260-1900 total pin-fall in all three games against New Stars, leaving them behind with no points at all. Alley Masters’ victory with 25 points moved them higher in the standings. New Star troupe include Aziz Fadallah, Yousuf Ghadanfar, Husseing Ghadanfar, Bader Al Kharafi, Fawaz Al Busseri and Yousuf Al Holi.
The newly formed team, the Alley Masters comprised of Mehrdad Tabibzadeh, Ahmad Sultan, Dawood Bahman, Ali Sal Saleh, Ali Mulla, Mousa Abdullah and Bader Omair. They have moved up the standings fairly quickly. 


Elsewhere in the season-3 tournament, Bowling Stones, one of the strongest contenders of Season-2 Greenie Group were up against the newly formed Team of XXX (in bowling terms XXX refers to a triple strike known as turkey). XXX team shot off with a powerful win in the game with Saheer Abbas scoring a 203 scratch taking them to victory. Still in control of the game XXX moved on to win games 2 and 3 with a grand total pin-falls of 2201-2036, emerging as the overall winners of the match with 25 game points.
XXX team members include Fatima Sequeira, Mudassir Tungekar, Nadine Dias, Christine D’Souza, Melwyn Pereria, Peter Pritchard and Saheer Abbas. The Bowling Stones line up included Branden Xavierz, Condrad Pinto, Leroy Rodrigues, Raoul Pinto, Rohan Pinto, Samantha Fernandes, Mathew Eapen and Jerry Picardo.
In the next match, Kuwait Energy were steamrolled 2097-1167 by a more experienced Android Rollers side. Rollers won all three games to finish with 25 game points. Kuwait Energy team members consisted of Mohit Bareja, Ravi Narayanan, Nawaf Al Ajmi, Amira Bassem, Saloua Salaheddine, Hodan Abyan, Rabab Magdy. Android Rollers members are Ulysses Menezes, Anastasius Menezes, Joel Fernandes, Jason D’Souza, Rudolph Castellino and Rohan Fernandes.


Al Qwassem, winners of Season-2 Championship Group armed with high profile players with averages between170 to 200, make bowling look very simple to the average eye. Medium to average players Lane Surferzz took on the challenge.
In game one Al Qwassem ended with a total of 759 pin-falls and not far behind them were Lane Surferzz with 744. Game two saw Lane Surferzz try harder to end up with a total of 794 pin-falls just missing the win against Al Qwassem’s 801. With the entire game under their control and 10 points up, Al Qwassem close in for the kill in game 3 this time earning themselves an extra bonus points of 5 for crossing 850 pinfalls. Game three saw Al Qwassem finish with 852 against Lane Surferzz’s 744.


 Al Qwassem thus won the game with a whopping 30 points as against Lane Surferzz’s zero points with grand total score of 2412-2282 in Al Qwassem’s favor.
The Al Qwassem bowlers consisted of Fadel Qwassem, Aziz Aslawi, Aseel Roumi, Ali Bouloushi, Ediwn Latoja, Saleh Faraj, Ali Qwassem and Alfred Avila. Lane Surferzz Strikers members include Siddarth Nair, Jade D’Costa, Aji Varghese, Alwin Abraham, Renju Jacob and Jegy George.
Al Farisy Strikers crushed Spare Us 2416-2031 in the final match of the day. Spare Us, a mix of average and advanced bowlers having taken part in Season-2 as well, are highly competitive but no match for the pros from Al Farisy Strikers. It was one of those days for Spare Us where luck and skill didn’t go together and as a result Al Farisy Strikers just sailed away with a grand total pinfalls of 2416-2031 in all three games, scooping a total of 25 points and leaving Spare Us with nothing. Al Farisy Strikers include Aqeel AlFarisy, Loukmaan King, Jr Sabado, Joseph White, Ed Mendoza, Kiko Andaya, Aida Al Farisy and Saleh Fahad Hajras. Spare Us team include Colin Costa, Monali Jeremiah, Brian Fernandes, Anthony King, Adrian Noronha, Valentine Gonsalves, Ansley Jeremiah & Nelson D’Souza.
