‘Return loan or will publish your wife’s pictures on websites’

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 27: A Kuwaiti man has filed a complaint with the Salmiya Police Station accusing a compatriot friend of stealing the cell phone of his wife and threatening to publish her pictures on social networking websites, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
This happened when the complainant borrowed some money from his friend and failed to return the money on time.
The friend than tricked the victim saying he had forgotten about the money issue and requested to use his phone. He then sent the pictures from the husband’s phone to his cell phone and then threatened to publish the pictures if he does not return the money.
The friend is also said to have telephoned the wife of the friend and requested her to convince her husband to return his money or else he would post the pictures on the website.
The friend will be summoned for interrogation.

Robbed at knifepoint: Police are looking for two unidentified persons for stealing KD 1,000 and a watch from a Kuwaiti man in broad daylight, reports Al-Rai daily. The incident happened in Jahra. The man in his complaint to the police said he had just got into his car after withdrawing the money from a bank branch.
One of the men approached him and pretended he wanted to know something. When the Kuwaiti lowered the car window glass the other pulled out a knife and held it at the throat of the Kuwaiti and threatened to kill him if he refused to hand over the money and watch.
