Bangladeshi punches Indian woman in face over dispute

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 27: A Bangladeshi expatriate was arrested recently for punching in the face of a female Indian expatriate in Hassawi.
According to security sources, when an Indian woman lodged a complaint at Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh police station against a Bangladeshi expatriate, accusing him of punching in her face in Hassawi, securitymen immediately obtained information about him and arrested him in front of a restaurant.
During interrogations with both victim and suspect, securitymen discovered that they are acquaintances and the suspect had asked the victim to accompany him to his room to discuss about another Indian woman. However, when she refused to go with him, he punched her in the face and ran away.
The suspect was arrested and will be referred to the Public Prosecution for necessary legal action against him.

Fire in Husseiniya: Fire broke out inside the hall of a Husseiniya in Rumaithiya, causing shortness of breath to 21 people.
Eyewitnesses revealed the fire started in a coal heater inside the hall of the Husseiniya.  Some of the people panicked and poured water on the burning coal, so thick smoke engulfed the place causing shortness of breath to many of those who were inside at the time.
Firefighters and paramedics rushed to the location immediately after receiving information on the incident.  Some of those who had difficulty in breathing were provided treatment on the spot, while seven were referred to Amiri and Mubarak Al-Kabeer hospitals.
