Chicken in white sauce
Ingredients:
- 2 whole chickens;
- plain flour;
- extra virgin olive oil;
- 2 cups onion flakes;
- 2 cups celery, chopped;
- 1/2 cup al parsley flakes;
- 2 tbsp dried basil;
- 1/4 cup fresh basil; chopped;
- Salt to taste;
- black pepper to taste;
- 1 cup chicken broth.
Method:
Cut chicken in small pieces, coat with flour. In a pan, heat 4 tbsp of olive oil, fry chicken pieces until brown color. Set aside and cover. Fry onion flakes, celery and parsley flakes in the pan for 5 minutes, add basil. Add fried chicken pieces to the pan, add salt and pepper. Add chicken broth, cook over medium-low heat until tender.
