Police patrols foil 4 young Kuwaitis attempt to kidnap Filipina Jordanian brothers rob Filipino of KD 250, cell phone

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 23: The Jahra police have arrested four young citizens for attempting to kidnap an unidentified Filipino woman from in front of a beauty parlor in the area, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to security sources the woman cried for help and two police patrols on duty in the areas saw the four men attempting to push the victim into their car. The police promptly arrested the four men and along with the woman took them to the area police station.

At the police station the suspects said they only wanted to take the woman to where she wanted to go, a charge denied by the woman.

She claimed the men were attempting to kidnap her with the intention to rape her.

The suspects have been handed over to the General Department of Criminal Investigations before handing them over to the Public Prosecution.

Meanwhile, police have taken into custody two unidentified Jordanian brothers for allegedly robbing a Filipino man while walking along a road, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to security sources the arrest came following a complaint filed by the victim saying he was robbed of his money (KD 250) and his cell phone by two persons and gave securitymen the car plate number of the suspects. When the police arrested the suspects, they were taken to a police station where they admitted to the charge.

They have been handed over to the competent legal authority for more interrogations.
