Rain expected - Winter ‘starts’ Nov 26
KUWAIT CITY, Nov 12: Renowned Kuwaiti astronomer Dr Saleh Al-Ojeiri has said the forthcoming winter season will be associated with torrential rainfall, and added “it’s a sign the season will be very good”, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
According to Al-Ojeiri, there are chances the rain will fall on Tuesday due to low atmospheric conditions observed from the hilly regions of major lakes in Africa.
He also said many people will start feeling the winter on Nov 26 and compelled to wear winter clothing, adding the weather in January 2013 will be the coldest, as it will fall between -0 and -3 Celsius degrees in the desert areas and open places.
He noted the weather in Feb and March will be moderate, with a minimum temperature of 0 degree Celsius by March end.
