Pakistani vanishes with KD 566,000 Bangladeshi Liquor peddler held

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 12: An unidentified company in Ahmadi has filed a lawsuit against a Pakistani man accusing him of fraud and ‘stealing’ more than half a million dinars, reports Al-Qabas daily.
According to the complaint filed by the lawyer, the Pakistani claimed and made the officials of the company believe that he has contacts overseas and can purchase copper products at ‘reasonable’ price.
After the company entrusted him with KD 566,000 to make the necessary purchases, he reportedly escaped with the money and has since switched off his cell phone.

Bangladeshi  Liquor peddler held: Police have arrested an unidentified Bangladeshi man for trading in locally-manufactured booze, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The daily quoting security sources said a police patrol saw a crowd of people gathered around the Bangladeshi.
When police approached the people who had surrounded the Bangladeshi they escaped in all directions leaving behind the Bangladeshi and a bag containing the bottles of booze.
The contraband and the suspect have been referred to the concerned authorities.

‘Bold’ thief: Police are looking for an unidentified person who fled after he was caught loading stolen tires into his vehicle at Amghara scrap-yard, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to the daily, the suspect had aroused suspicion of passersby when he suddenly parked his vehicle beside a truck full of tires and started loading one or two tires into his own vehicle.
He is said to have become jittery and fled in his vehicle when a worker approached and the asked suspect why he was loading the tires into his own vehicle.
An onlooker managed to take the registration number of his vehicle, and police are since looking for him.

Maid, cash missing: Police are looking for an unidentified maid who is said to have escaped with KD 650 from the bedroom closet, reports Al-Rai daily.
A complaint has been filed with the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Police Station.
In his complaint to the police the Kuwaiti, who works for the Ministry of Defence, said when his maid went missing he thought someone might have kidnapped her and went looking for her but to no avail.
However, when he discovered the money missing from the bedroom closet, he realized the maid had escaped from his home.
The Al-Anba daily identified the maid as Sri Lankan.
