Indian robbed at knife-point in Jleeb

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 10: An unknown individual took KD 40 from an Indian expatriate in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh after threatening to kill him with a sharp object.

According to security sources, an Indian expatriate filed a case at Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh police station against an unknown individual who stopped him while he was walking to his apartment and stole KD 40 from his wallet after taking out a knife and threatening to kill him if he failed to follow his instructions.

Securitymen noted the suspect’s descriptions and started investigations to arrest him.

Meanwhile, two Asian expatriates were arrested recently in Mahboula for possession of two bottles of locally brewed liquor. Reportedly, while Ahmadi securitymen were patrolling Mahboula, they suspected two Asian expatriates walking on the road when one among them threw away the backpack he was carrying as soon as he saw the officers.

They stopped the suspects and checked their identities. They retrieved the backpack and checked it to find two bottles of locally brewed liquor.

They were arrested and referred with the liquor bottles to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them.

In another incident, An Asian woman who works as a housemaid for a Kuwaiti family in Rabya, was arrested recently for running away from her sponsor.

Reportedly, while securitymen were patrolling the area, they stopped an Asian woman holding a big bag of clothes. When they asked for her Civil ID, she began crying and explained that she ran away from her sponsor and was on her way to meet her sister who works in a salon in Farwaniya.

She was arrested and referred to the police station of the area. The Kuwaiti sponsor was summoned to the police station for interrogations.
