KUWAIT CITY, Nov 9: The Detention Renewal Judge has released on KD 1,000 bail the motorist who had allegedly deliberately run over a press photographer in a suburb of Sabah Al-Nasser during a demonstration which was organized by the so-called opposition, reports Al-Rai daily.
In his testimony the suspect is said to have denied the allegation.
He added, there was confusion all around because the police were firing tear gas canisters and smoke bombs to disperse the demonstrators.
He also said, he was honking to warn people out of his way and he was partially blinded. He also said the photographer came in his way.

CCTV cameras eyed: At the beginning of next year the Ministry of Interior plans to install 92 CCTV cameras along the Arabian Gulf Road to monitor this road around the clock, reports Al-Rai daily. The Ministry of Interior has requested the Kuwait Municipality to provide it a map of cable layout along the Blajat Street to help it install digital cameras which will be directly linked to the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior.
The IT sector of the Ministry of Interior will follow up the issue to complete installation within two months.
