Iraqi caught smuggling 30 kilos hashish in spare tire

KUWAIT CITY, July 30: Customs officers at the Abdali border post have arrested an Iraqi citizen for attempting to smuggle 30 kilos of hashish and referred him to authorities, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to security sources the Iraqi looked confused when he approached the inspection desk and requested the inspectors to hurry up with the inspection procedures saying it was time for him to break the fast.
This suspicious behavior landed the man in trouble because the inspectors referred him for thorough inspection and found the drugs hidden inside a spare tire.
The contraband and the smuggler have been referred to the authorities.

‘Pot’ seized:
Customs officers at the Kuwait International Airport have arrested a Kuwaiti woman coming aboard a flight from Thailand for possessing marijuana. The drugs were hidden inside her bag, reports Al-Anba daily.
The woman appeared confused and when inspectors checked her baggage they found a small quantity of marijuana in her baggage and a quantity of narcotic pills from her handbag.
The woman said she brought the drugs for personal use.

Youths held:
Police have arrested two youths who have past criminal records for trafficking in drugs and referred them to the authorities, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to security sources, police acting on information put the suspects under surveillance and caught them in Rumaithiya. At the time of arrest they had in their possession 250 grams of hashish.
