Brother-in-law tries to rape Arab expat woman

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 19: An Arab woman has lodged a complaint, accusing her brother-in-law of trying to rape her, reports Al-Anba daily.
The woman said her husband traveled to his home country three days ago and his brother visited her under the pretext of seeing whether she needed any help. After exchanging pleasantries, he allegedly tried to have sex with her but ran away when she screamed for help.
The brother-in-law will be summoned for questioning.

Lankan dupes trader: A well-known businessman was duped by a Sri Lankan contractor, reports Al-Rai daily.
The businessman filed a complaint at Fahaheel Police Station, saying he and the Sri Lankan agreed to start a joint business venture with a capital of KD 200,000 and that he did not hear from the Sri Lankan ever since he gave KD 67,000 in advance payment.
Police conducted investigations and found out that the suspect had already left for his home country.

Fury over flight delay: A number of male and female Kuwaiti actors in addition to some passengers flying on a Kuwait Airways’ flight from Cairo complained about the inconveniences they had to suffer due to the three-hour delay of the flight, reports Al-Mustaqbal daily.
In a written complaint submitted to the Kuwait Airways Corporation (KAC), the complainants said they had to reach Kuwait on time to attend a certain event that was part of National Day celebrations but officials at the KAC desk in Cairo did nothing to solve their problem. They mentioned that some members of the Egyptian delegation cancelled their tickets and used another airliner to reach Kuwait in time to participate in the event.
