Teacher escapes kidnap bid; Teen kidnapped, raped

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 15: Teacher escapes kidnap bid: The Egyptian security services, reportedly rescued a 47-year-old female Kuwaiti teacher when a taxi driver tried to kidnap her by driving her through the City of October Six mountainous region, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to Egyptian security sources an Egyptian police patrol on duty suspected the man because he was speeding and it was obvious the female passenger inside the vehicle was screaming.
Police officers chased the taxi, arrested the driver and referred him to the Public Prosecution for interrogation.
The Kuwaiti teacher has thanked the police officers for rescuing from her abductor.
 
Filipina saves her bag:  Police are looking for 2 youths driving a black Yukon for attempting to snatch the handbag of a young Filipino woman who was shopping in Salmiya, reports Al-Shahed daily.
In her complaint to the Salmiya Police Station the victim said the incident happened when she was walking along a road.
One of the suspects got down from the vehicle and pulled her handbag but she foiled his attempt.
 
Teen kidnapped, raped: Police have arrested a military man working for the National Guard for allegedly kidnapping and raping a 16-year-old Kuwaiti teenager, reports Al-Rai daily.
The victim is believed to be the son of a police officer in the rank of major. The victim told his father he was playing in front of his home in Taima when the suspect grabbed him and drove him to a desert in the area and raped him.
The arrest came when son gave the father description of the suspect and details of the car including the number plate.
The teenager has been referred to Forensics.
 
European wife returns: After a Kuwaiti man filed a missing persons report on his European wife at an unidentified police station, securitymen discovered she had left the house following a dispute with her husband, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Nonetheless, police helped to solve the problem amicably.
 
Two women go missing: The Ahmadi police looking for two unidentified young expatriate women who are said to have ‘disappeared’ from Abu Halifa, reports Al-Rai daily.
A police source said the father of one of the victims filed a missing persons report on his daughter at the area police station and one hour later a similar report was filed by the father of another woman.
The daily did not give more details.
