KUWAIT CITY, Feb 8: Police have arrested an Egyptian man for attempting to pass the driving test on behalf of his brother, reports Al-Rai daily.
The suspect was arrested when the examiner noticed the difference in the photo of the suspect.
It has been reported the real applicant is newcomer to Kuwait and the other has been residing in Kuwait for a long time and holds a driving licence.
However, the policeman who referred the forger to a police station was shocked when he found himself waiting for seven hours at the police station and five hours at the Public Prosecution the following day.
He has promised not to report such incidents in future.

Drugs, cash seized from man: A man was arrested for possession of drugs after the Drug Control General Department (DCGD) received information from reliable sources.
The veracity of the provided information was confirmed when the Drug Control personnel carried out necessary investigations with the permission of the Public Prosecution.
On raiding the apartment of the accused, the authorities found 500 grams each of hashish and heroin as well as cash amounting to KD 2,000.
On confrontation, the accused admitted that he smuggled the drugs sold to him by a friend from a neighboring country. The authorities of the neighboring country have been contacted to arrest the other accused.
The accused and the items have been referred to the concerned authorities for further investigations.

3 drug traffickers held: Acting on information and armed with a search and arrest warrant issued by the Public Prosecution, personnel from the General Department for Drugs Control raided an apartment in Salmiya and arrested three Asians for trafficking in drugs, reports Al-Rai daily.
The securitymen are said to have seized from them 500 grams of heroin.
The contraband and the traffickers have been referred to the authorities.

One-year-old drinks Clorox:  A one-year-old child was rushed to the Intensive Care Unit of Mubarak Hospital after he drank a strong cleaning liquid (Clorox), reports Al-Rai daily.
Paramedics rushed to the infant’s house as soon as his father called the Operations Room and referred him to the hospital.

KD 10,000 stolen from vehicle: Police are looking for an unidentified person who allegedly broke into the vehicle of an Arab man which was parked in front of a commercial complex in Farwaniya and escaped with KD 10,000 cash, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily quoting sources said police have requested to see the CCTV footage of cameras installed in the area to identify the culprit.
In the meantime, personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit.

Good worth KD 2,000 stolen: Police are looking for an unidentified person for stealing a tent and all contents from a camping area. The stolen goods are believed to be worth KD 2,000, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
A complaint has been filed with the Mina Abdullah Police Station. The man has also given police the plate number of the pickup truck whose driver he suspects of stealing the goods.’
