Will sanctions hit target? Talks can end stalemate

AFTER the latest sanctions imposed by the European Union on Iran due to its nuclear activities, one should wonder when these things will end. We hope the embargo leads to more stability rather than indirectly mounting tension and provoking unwanted confrontations between Iran and its allies in the East, Europe and other western countries. It is very clear that China, Russia and many other nations are against imposing more sanctions, considering they are major consumers of the banned oil exports.

We do not need the horror of war against the innocent in both sides of the Arabian Gulf — Iran and the GCC. All neighbors and the entire international community must work on having proper dialogue to end the deadlock because everyone wishes for peace, not war. Without a doubt, neutral parties must intervene and exert tremendous efforts to douse the tension and the flames of conflict.
