Two Asian women get jail for molesting schoolchild Deportation ordered

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 7: The Criminal Court has sentenced two Asian women to two years imprisonment with hard labor for molesting an unidentified child in one of the elementary private schools but suspended the sentence on payment of KD 100 bail each.
However, the court has also ordered the deportation of the women after serving the sentence.
Court papers show the victim entered the toilet on Feb 23, 2011 and the two women ‘confronted’ him in the toilet.
One of the women poured hot liquid on the boy while the other touched him what the court ruling said ‘unethically.’
A medical report submitted by the attorney for the plaintiff showed the victim had sustained injuries on his body.
The victim had also identified the accused during a legal line up at the Criminal Investigation Department in Maidan Hawalli.

Ruling today: The Court of Appeals will rule Wednesday on a petition filed by Hassan Qabazard and others accused of embezzling funds of a certain company and forging documents against the ruling of a lower court.
Case files indicate the Court of First Instance, which was presided over by Judge Abdullah Al-Sane, sentenced Qabazard to 55 years in jail, Abdulfatah Al-Bader to 40 years and 30 years each for Nassem Hussein and Timothy Starford. The accused are facing 13 charges, 11 of which are connected to undue profit and embezzlement, while the other two are related to forging the official documents of a foreign company. The lower court had also ordered them to return the embezzled amount.

Trio pleads not guilty: The Misdemeanor Court presided over by Justice Emad Al-Mendil Tuesday looked into a case which has been filed against three bedoun over demonstrations in Taima, Sulaibiya and Ahmadi in February 2011.
When the court read the charges against the defendants which included attacking securitymen and resisting arrest violently, participating in a public gathering which was organized in defiance of the law and unlawful protests all the men pleaded not guilty.
It may be recalled that the court Monday had acquitted 31 other bedoun who were charged by the Public Prosecution with organizing protests.
