Amir extols role played by small enterprises in building the nation KES to hold seminar on economic prospects of Euro zone

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 7, (KUNA): His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, in the presence of HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, received at Bayan Palace on Tuesday Minister of Finance and Minister of Health Mustafa Al-Shimali, who was accompanied by Chairman and CEO of Kuwait Industrial Bank Abdulmohsen Al-Hunaif along with owners of small enterprises.
They presented HH the Amir an explanation of a number of small enterprises financed by the bank.
HH the Amir praised those in charge of such enterprises, extolling at the same time the noble objectives sought by those individuals, which focus on the encouragement of youngsters to actively participate in achieving the ambitious visions to upgrade the developmental process and boost resources of the Kuwaiti economy, as well as finding job opportunities for Kuwaiti youths in the private sector.
HH the Amir also urged them to do their best for the interest of the homeland.
For their part, the participants expressed their full pride in the noble patronage of HH the Amir for his sons in all sectors, saying that HH’s directives are “the cresset they resort to in order to serve the dear homeland.” At the end of the meeting, they presented HH the Amir with commemorative gifts.

KUWAIT CITY: The Kuwait Economic Society (KES) will organize a seminar on the economic prospects for the Euro zone and its impact on the GCC economies at 6:00 pm on Feb 9 in its headquarters in Shuwaikh, says KES Deputy Board Chairman Tariq Mohammad Mussa’ed Al-Saleh.
In a press statement Tuesday, Al-Saleh revealed Director of World Bank office in Kuwait and senior economist at the GCC Administrative Office (Middle East and North Africa) Dr Kevin Kerry will be the main lecturer at the seminar. He said topics for the seminar include a comparison between the EU and GCC economies, problems in modern financial sectors, and the direct and indirect effect of the Euro zone on the economic sector in the GCC.
