Syrian stabbed in Salmiya fight

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 6: A Syrian man suffered serious injuries when a youth stabbed him in the back when they had a fight in Salmiya recently.
Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the scene immediately after the Operations Room at the Ministry of Interior received information on the fight. It has been reported the victim had a heated argument with two youths in a vacant lot in Salmiya. However, the argument escalated into a fistfight and then one of the youths used a sharp object to stab the Syrian in the back.
The Syrian is now confined at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital, while the youths, whom the victim knows, were referred to the concerned security department for interrogation and other necessary legal action.

Youth, cops fights: A young man got a fracture in his jaw after engaging in a fistfight with some traffic patrol officers in Jahra Industrial Area.
Security sources revealed the officers were on duty in the area when they noticed two youths performing car stunts, so they stopped them to issue a citation but the youths got angry and badmouthed the officers. This led into a fistfight between the officers and the youths, resulting in injuries to one of the youths.
A case was registered against the officers and the youths’ vehicle was impounded.

Youth hoodwinks police: An unidentified youth, who had earlier evaded arrest for his involvement in a criminal case, again succeeded in dodging police officers when he abandoned his vehicle and escaped on foot in Salwa.
While patrolling the area, the officers noticed the suspicious movement of a vehicle, so they signaled for the driver to pull over for routine inspection. This led to the discovery that the driver, a young man, had previously been involved in a crime without getting arrested.
Upon sensing a similar action will be taken against him, the suspect got out of his car and fled on foot. The officers chased him but lost track of him as he used the houses as cover. His vehicle was impounded and the officers heightened search efforts to arrest him.

‘Arrest our son’: An Arab couple lodged a complaint at the Hawally Police Station against their son, who allegedly consumes alcohol and drugs.
According to the complainants, their son usually arrives home under the influence of alcohol and drugs and they can no longer tolerate his behavior, so they decided to report his illegal activities to the authorities.
A case was registered and police will soon summon the son for interrogation to verify the complaint.

Motorist hurt: A 24-year-old Kuwaiti got minor burns in his left hand when his vehicle caught fire in Qurtoba.
Firemen, security officers and medical emergency workers rushed to the location after receiving information on the incident. The fire was extinguished in record time and the Kuwaiti was treated on the spot.
    The actual cause of fire was not immediately known and investigations in this regard are continuing.
