KUWAIT CITY, Jan 24: Police have arrested an elderly man for molesting an Arab woman in the elevator of a building in Salmiya, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The woman was visiting her daughter and happened to be in the lift with the elderly man. The old man allegedly tried to hug her and drag her into his flat, but she screamed for help and managed to escape. The woman filed a complaint following which a police officer arrested the elderly man and referred him to authorities.

Teenage boy raped: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti physical education teacher for allegedly raping a 13-year-old compatriot school boy, reports Al-Anba daily.
The teacher was referred to public prosecution after the boy’s father filed a complaint at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Police Station.

Cable thieves caught: Wafra police have arrested five Asians for stealing copper cables from farms, reports Al-Rai daily.
Police intensified investigations after receiving many complaints and arrested the thieves who admitted to their crimes and said they sold the electric cables to a Kuwaiti owner of a farm.
The Kuwaiti admitted to buying the cables, but said he didn’t know they were stolen.

Jogger robbed: Police are looking for a thief who broke the window pane of an expatriate woman’s vehicle and stole her handbag containing credit cards and KD 147, reports Al-Rai daily.
The woman was reportedly jogging when the theft took place.
A case was registered at Bayan Police Station and personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department lifted fingerprints from the scene to identify the culprit.

Police hunt thief: Three separate car break-in cases were filed at Nugra and Maidan Hawalli police stations and sources say the modus operandi was the same in all the three cases, reports Al-Anba daily. The thieves broke the glass of the vehicles and stole valuables from inside.
Police are conducting investigations.

Royal vows legal action: Attorney Dr Rasheed Hamad Al-Anzi has affirmed that his client Sheikh Fahad Al-Duaij Al-Sabah will take necessary legal action against those spreading malicious rumors against him on social networking site ‘Twitter,’ reports Al-Anba daily. Rumors that Sheikh Fahad is the owner of the black Yukon jeep in the Mohammad Al-Maimouni case are doing rounds on Twitter. Al-Maimouni was tortured to death in police custody and a person in black Yukon jeep was said to be involved in the case.
Al-Rasheed called the reports ‘ungrounded and baseless.’
