Four Bedouns attack 3 policemen on duty Detention of 62 protesters extended

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 20: The Public Prosecution on Thursday extended the detention of 62 people accused of participating in a demonstration staged by Bedouns in Taima last week, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The detainees include Kuwaitis, Gulf nationals and other residents. They are to appear before the prosecution on Sunday. Sources say only one suspect, identified as Faisal M, has been released because he is visually impaired.

Bedouns attack policemen: Police are looking for four Bedouns who attacked three policemen on duty in Salmi area, reports Al-Rai daily.
The policemen were arresting a person for stealing buggies in the area when the Bedouns suddenly attacked them with knives and escaped. Police later discovered that they were the suspect’s friends and were trying to free him.
