Passenger held on the airport for molestation charges
KUWAIT CITY, Jan 18: Officers at Kuwait International Airport recently prevented an Asian from traveling to his home country after checking his security records, which showed a molestation case has been filed against him.
The Asian was then referred to the concerned security department for questioning and other legal action.
Couple arrested: A woman and her partner have been arrested by anti-narcotics men for peddling in drugs.
According to an Interior Ministry press release, the Drug Control General Department received information about illegal activities the lady suspect engaged in, and upon the directives of Criminal Security Chief Major General Sheikh Ahmad Al-Khalifa, a team of detectives was formed to arrest her.
In the meantime, she was nabbed with half a kilogram of hashish she kept inside her handbag, in the course of a transaction with an undercover agent. She confessed to trading in drug and named her accomplice to whom she led the policemen. The second suspect was apprehended with 100 grams of hashish and KD 1,400 cash, as policemen conducted a search inside his home. He also acknowledged engaging in drug trade.
The statement added that officers recovered additional 500 narcotic pills and an unspecified quantity of hashish inside the Doha apartment of the lady suspect, as well as proceeds from the drug trade worth KD 24,000. The suspects were later referred to Drug Prosecution.
