Illegal pills said to boost sexual power sold in City
KUWAIT CITY, Jan 16: Illegal medicines touted to boost sexual vigor are reportedly being sold in large quantities in Souq Wajif, Kuwait City, says Al-Mustaqbal Arabic daily.
A team from the daily had visited the souq and managed to purchase some of these medicines at low prices. Stating that such medicines are very harmful to health, the daily said women were selling the medicines secretly.
Such medicines have no production and expiry dates and leaflets do not include any information about the composition.
Local physician Dr Ashraf Abdullatif warned people against taking such medicines, saying they are very dangerous because they are unlicensed and are smuggled into the country. Moreover, bad storage facilities negatively affect all medicines.
Such medicines may have more ‘sildenafi,’ which is used in the preparation of Viagra, and this is very harmful to health.
These medicines might even cause death, said the daily, severely criticizing the ministries of Health and Commerce and Industry for failing to perform their supervisory duties.
Brothers in crime: Farwaniya police have arrested two brothers for stealing a cell phone from a shop, reports Al-Rai daily.
The brothers, who hail from a GCC country, pretended to be customers and expressed interest in one cell phone. The brothers then took the phone and escaped in their car without paying.
However, based on the description and plate number of the suspects’ vehicle, police managed to catch them shortly after the theft.
