Internet chat ends in rape of a minor
KUWAIT CITY, Jan 16: Police are looking for a 25-year-old Arab youth for raping a minor girl, reports Al-Rai daily.
A police source said the youth befriended the girl through an Internet chat room and promised to marry her. On their first date, the youth took the girl to a dark place where he had sex with her and then disappeared.
The girl tried to call the youth several times after the incident but she repeatedly got the message ‘the number was not in use.’
The girl then reported the incident to her father who in turn lodged a complaint at Fahad Al-Ahmad Police Station.
KD 36,000 watch stolen: Police are looking for an unidentified Asian for stealing a very expensive watch from a shop in a well-known commercial complex, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The owner of the shop was shocked on noticing the disappearance of the watch and lodged a complaint at Bayan Police Station. Sources say footage of CCTV installed in the shop showed the Asian stealing the watch.
Al-Dar daily mentioned that the watch was worth KD 36,000 and said it was stolen from a complex in Al-Rai area.
Expat assaulted: An unidentified expatriate has lodged a complaint at Sulaibikhat Police Station, accusing a Kuwaiti man of assaulting him, reports Al-Rai daily.
During interrogation, the Kuwaiti said the expatriate used to drop newspaper on the floor, instead of putting it in the box.
The daily didn’t give any more details.
Hashish dumped at Customs: Police are looking for an unidentified person who allegedly dumped a piece of hashish at Al-Nuwaiseeb border post, reports Al-Rai daily.
A police source said police dogs barked and guided police to the hashish piece, which is believed to have been dropped by a traveler to escape arrest.
