Motorist asked to stop stabs police officer, flees scene

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 14: A security operative was stabbed and wounded by an unknown motorist in Hawalli area.
Apparently, the suspect was driving a rickety car when the officer ordered him to stop for inspection, then suddenly he drew a knife, stabbed the officer, and fled the scene. However, security operatives have full description of the suspect’s car to nab him.
Sources said the officer has since been receiving treatment in Mubarak Hospital, while detectives are trailing the culprit who is still at large.

Drunkard beaten: Members of a household in Sulaibiya beat up a drunken man who had barged into their house uninvited. They then called police who rushed to the scene and arrested the drunk. Sources say the drunk had a gun in his possession.

Car stolen: A Kuwaiti man reported the theft of his car at Sabah Al-Nasser Police Station. He said he had parked the car in front of his house. Police have circulated the description of the car to all checkpoints.

Car broken into: Police are looking for thieves who broke into a Kuwaiti man’s car and stole his belongings from inside. The man has filed a complaint at Khaitan Police Station.
