Teens beat top cop; Gynecologist beaten

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 12: Head of Sulaibikhat Police Station Faisal Al-Mawed was severely injured and rushed to Al-Razi Hospital after a group of teenagers attacked him and pelted stones and empty bottles at him, reports Al-Shahed daily.
Acting on complaints that several youths were performing stunts with their vehicles near a roundabout in the area, a security team, headed by Al-Mawed, rushed to the scene to arrest the reckless motorists. But the youths allegedly beat up Al-Mawed and hurled stones at him.
He sustained fractures and many other injuries as a result.
Investigations are going on and police are trying to arrest everyone involved in the incident.

Gynecologist beaten: A gynecologist working at Adan Hospital filed a complaint at Hadeya Police Station, accusing a Kuwaiti man of beating and insulting him, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.  The complainant said while he was attending one patient, the Kuwaiti entered his room without permission and that when he asked the latter to leave, the Kuwaiti insulted him and beat him with shoe. A case was registered.

Indian caught drunk: An Indian expatriate was arrested for consuming and possessing alcohol, reports Alam-Alyawm daily.
The man was reportedly making a scene in the compound of a building and passers-by alerted police who rushed to the scene and arrested the man red-handed.

Worker steals, flees: A garage owner filed a complaint at Shuwaikh Police Station, accusing an expatriate employee of stealing KD 500 from the garage, reports Al-Rai daily.
The owner said he came to know that the expatriate left for his home country. A case of breach of trust has been filed and an arrest warrant has been issued against the suspect.
