Driving licence for Salary of 345 KD

I have been working in the private sector in Kuwait for over 2 years on a work permit. I would like to get a driving licence as we are really facing a problem without a car and our 2 children are studying here. But when I tried to apply for a licence they said my salary must be KD 400. I have a bachelors college degree but my salary is only KD 345. My husband also doesn’t have a driving licence. What should I do?

Answer:
No, you can’t get a driving licence if you are on a work permit and earning less than KD 400 a month. Housewives, with children, who are staying on dependent visas can, however, get a licence. These children must be school-going.
So, the only way out is to see a Director of the Traffic Department and explain your problem to him, although the chances of your request being accepted are very thin.
