Lovers caught inside a car ; No earthquake
KUWAIT CITY, Jan 10: Officers on patrol apprehended an Asian woman and a youth for perpetrating immoral acts inside a car at Bneid Al-Gar. They were taken to the relevant authority without delay.
No earthquake: Patrol officers were deployed to Taima, Oyoun and Naseem areas in Jahra when three citizens reported they felt an earth tremor there. Apparently, the incident was a result of military training at a base camp in the area. A case was registered.
Drug peddler held: Detectives from Ahmadi apprehended an Asian expatriate for trading in narcotics.
He was referred, with the contraband, to Drug Prosecution.
In a related incident, two youth were arrested by patrolmen in Ahmadi area for their involvement in drug related cases.
They were handed over to the concerned authority.
Car stolen: Thieves are reported to have stolen a vehicle parked in front of a house in Saad Al-Abdullah.
Owner of the vehicle filed a case with security operatives to report the incident when he discovered the car was missing.
House on fire: Firefighters were able to extinguish fire that engulfed a house in Sulaibiya area, following a distress call the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry received in that regard. Sources said no casualties were registered and the officers doused the flames in a record time without it spreading to neighboring structures.
Youths arrested: Police have arrested four unidentified youths for reckless driving, shooting in the air with a pistol and causing nuisance to the residents of Salmiya.
A security source said some people called the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior when they saw the youths making stunts with their vehicles and shooting in the area. When police to the area and arrested the miscreants, they discovered the youths were under the influence of alcohol. Police have also seized from them booze - locally manufactured and imported.
