Indian admits supplying liquor at doorstep

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 9: Police have arrested an Indian expatriate for trafficking in alcohol and recovered 30 bottles of local brew from his car in Farwaniya area, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The Indian caught the attention of police patrols when he tried to change lanes abruptly on seeing them. They then followed him and forced him to stop.
During interrogation, the Indian admitted that he sold alcohol and added that he offered home delivery service to customers in Firdous area.

Traffic police insulted: An Indian expatriate was referred to Rumaithiya Police Station for insulting a traffic policeman, reports Al-Rai daily.
The Indian reportedly got angry and insulted the policeman when the latter issued him a citation in Salmiya area.
A case was registered.

Two held drinking:  Police have arrested two unidentified youths for consuming alcohol in the parking lot of a mosque in Al-Naeem area, reports Al-Rai daily.
The youths were found in a disoriented state in a parked car, said sources, adding patrol officers recovered a bottle of local brew from their possession.
Both of them were referred to Jahra Police Station and sources say the youths were prison mates who got released recently.

Trio held with drugs: The Jahra police are said to have arrested three bedoun for possessing 1,000 narcotic pills, reports Al-Anba daily.
The daily quoting security sources said the suspects were caught in Qairawan. The daily added a police patrol suspected the man behind the wheel because when he saw a police patrol he was in a hurry to get away.
When police ordered the men to pull over and checked their vehicle, they found 1,000 pills and KD 4,250.
The trio has been referred to the General Department for Drugs Control.
