Mystery as police arrest ten uniformed men carrying guns
KUWAIT CITY, Jan 7: Police have arrested 10 men - seven Kuwaitis, two Bedouns and an Iranian - for wearing Kuwaiti military uniform without permission and recovered six unloaded M16 rifles from their possession in Subbiya desert region, reports Al-Rai daily.
Patrol officers on routine duty in Jahra noticed the men in uniform and approached them. The men claimed that they wore the uniform for a television recording, but when officers checked their identity cards, they learnt that some of them were wanted by law. The suspects presented a handwritten permission allowing them to wear the uniform, but lack of official stamps triggered further suspicion. The officers referred all ten men to authorities for investigation.
