Asian trio commits suicide in various areas of country KUWAIT CITY, Jan 5: The remains of an unidentified Asian maid who allegedly ended her life by hanging herself inside her room in Salmiya have been referred to Forensics. Acting on information paramedics and police rushed to the spot and found the corpse dangling from a rope. Police are investigating the death.
Man hangs to death: The remains of an Asian man, who hanged himself to death in his room in Hasawi area, have been referred to Forensics, reports Al-Rai daily. Securitymen had rushed to the scene when the Operations Room was notified about the suicide and sources say Criminal Evidence Department officials were summoned to refer the remains to Forensics.
For lover’s sake: An Asian woman committed suicide by consuming an insecticide in an apartment in Hawalli, reports Al-Rai daily. Securitymen and Criminal Evidence Department officials rushed to the scene on learning about the incident and referred the woman’s remains to Forensics. It is not known why the woman took the extreme step, but her roommates said she left a letter for her boyfriend.
Child run over: Jahra securitymen arrested an unidentified Asian for running over a six-year-old child and attempting to escape from the scene, reports Al-Rai daily. The incident took place in Waha area. The daily did not mention what happened to the child, but it said the suspect admitted to running over the victim.
Shopkeeper attacked: A Kuwaiti man allegedly attacked a shop owner in a commercial complex in Jahra area, reports Al-Rai daily. Sources said the man wanted to return an item which his wife had bought from the shop, but when the owner refused to accept, the man attacked the owner. He is said to have escaped on sensing the arrival of police. A case has been registered.
Fooling people: Police have arrested an unemployed man for using flasher, the kind used by police, to escape from traffic jams, reports Al-Rai daily. Officers patrolling in Sabah Al-Salem area noticed a civilian in a car with a flasher and asked the man to stop. The man, however, tried to escape, but he was chased and arrested. During interrogation, he said he bought the flasher from a spare parts shop and used it to avoid getting stuck in traffic jams.A case has been registered.
