Wonton soup
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil;
- 2 garlic cloves, minced;
- 1 (32 ounces) package reduced-sodium chicken broth;
- 12 frozen wontons or chinese dumplings;
- 1 cup snow peas, halved crosswise;
- 1/4 cup sliced green onions;
- 1 tablespoon reduced-sodium soy sauce;
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
Method: Add vegetable oil to stockpot. Heat over medium-high heat. Sauté minced garlic 30 seconds. Stir in chicken broth. Bring to a boil. Gradually drop in Chinese dumplings. Return to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Simmer 10 minutes. Stir in snow peas, sliced green onions, soy sauce, and grated ginger. Simmer for 5 minutes.
