Residence fine maximum 600 KD

This is regarding my husband, he is here in Kuwait since 1976 and is holding Visa 18 with our son added to his passport as his dependent. He gave his new sponsor all his documents including his passport for a transfer and signed a contract with him before expiry date of his residence. The sponsor got a work permit after 3-1/2 months of the expiry date of his residence. And unfortunately until now he has not got the residence stamp.
The sponsor is asking my husband to pay all the fine which is KD 4 a day. Both my husband and my son are without visas since November 2010. My son is in his last year in high school. Please can you guide us on what to do.

Name withheld

Answer:
There is no way out but to pay the fine which is KD 2 per day, which means a total of KD 4 a day for both your husband and your son.
But the maximum fine can only be KD 600 for each of you. So your husband has to pay the fine, get his residence and then that of his son. There is no other way.

pay fineSrivi | 12/31/2011 6:53:04 PM no other way. you should have availed the amnesty, last year. during amnesty, you can go free, without paying fine. but, now it is too late. why he delayed this much time ? it is your fault, to pressurise the sponsor to make akama.
