Kuwaiti citizen held with 30 kilos of drugs in buy-bust op
KUWAIT CITY, Dec 25: Officials of the Directorate-General for Drug Control (DGDC) arrested a Kuwaiti man in possession of 30 kilos of hashish in Sabah Al-Salem area on Sunday.
The suspect was arrested in a buy-bust operation. During interrogation, he reportedly admitted that he was trafficking in drugs and was bringing the contraband from a neighboring country. He was referred to authorities for further action.
Officer held: An unidentified police officer who allegedly tried to help a person to beat the travel ban and escape from the country has been referred to the General Department Investigation, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports the officer works at the Salmi border exit. When the officer tried to complete the formalities, his colleagues found something was fishy and prevented the man from leaving.
When they checked his name on the computer, they discovered there is a travel ban on him.
Carefree teen: Police have arrested and handed over to the family a female Kuwaiti teenager who was caught playing loud music on her car radio and dancing behind the wheel, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports motorists in Julaia’a called the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior when they saw the girl and her male friend in the passenger seat obstructing traffic and disturbing other road users.
Police rushed to the spot, arrested the youth and the teenager and handed her over to her parents who were camping in the area.
