Police nab five illegal Indians Police reacts to citizens, expats complaints

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 23: Officers from the Hawalli Traffic Department in a recent campaign issued 40 citations against motorists and impounded 13 vehicles along the Restaurants and Belajat Streets in Salmiya, with the help of Kuwait Public Transport Company (KPTC).
This followed several complaints, citizens and residents in the area filed against reckless motorists who normally perform stunts with vehicles to disturb public peace. All vehicles impounded during the campaign have been towed to the ministry garages in Sharq area.
In the meantime, the campaign will continue in the coming days to maintain law and order across the Hawalli governorate.

Police nab five illegal Indians: Securitymen arrested five Indians for violating the residence law and three other people wanted by law during a security campaign in Hawalli area.
Securitymen had setup checkpoints at all entrance and exit points in the area during the campaign. One of the wanted men had tried to run on foot on seeing police, but officers chased and arrested him. All the violators were referred to authorities.

Camp items stolen: A Kuwaiti man, believed to be in his 30s, reported the theft of two tents, a buggy and an electronic item from his camp in Kabad area.
Securitymen and Criminal Evidence Department officials rushed to the camp area and lifted fingerprints from the scene of crime. Investigations are going on.

3 held drunk: Police arrested three men - a Kuwaiti and two Bedouns - for consuming alcohol and recovered hashish and liquor from their possession.
The trio was stopped at a checkpoint in Salmiya area.

Cable thief held: Police arrested a man in possession of a stolen cable in Farwaniya area.
Officers on routine duty had stopped the man and had asked him to open the trunk of the vehicle. The suspect has been referred to authorities for further action.
