Manhunt launched for cheat ‘Kuwaiti’ in many fraud cases

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 22: Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Affairs Major-General Sheikh Ahmad Al-Khalifa has issued an arrest warrant against a fraudster who reportedly speaks fluent Kuwaiti dialect, reports Al-Anba daily quoting reliable sources.
The man has reportedly purchased lots of goods from shops in Farwaniya, Hawalli and Salmiya using Kuwaiti counterfeit money.
The sources added the arrest warrant has been issued after several people complained at the police stations.
Some sources say the suspect is a citizen of an unidentified GCC state. The sources also say he picked groceries, restaurants and petrol stations to cheat people.

Citizen arrested: The Farwaniya police have arrested a citizen in connection with a financial fraud, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to reports the suspect was arrested at an unidentified location. The daily added when the suspect saw the police he tried in vain to escape.
During interrogation he confessed that he is wanted by law and that he owes ‘someone’ KD 5,000.

6 held for shooting: Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department have arrested six unidentified persons for committing armed robberies and shooting at the Egyptian money collector, reports Al- Anba daily.
Earlier it was reported the man braved a hail of bullets but did not let go the money bag although he was hit in the thigh and one arm. Police are interrogating the men.

Citizen beaten, robbed: A citizen has filed a complaint with the Al-Rabiya Police Station accusing three unidentified persons of beating him and stealing his money, reports Al-Anba daily.
The man told the daily the suspects surprised him when he walked out of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and stole from him KD 500. The police are looking for the suspects.
