Drug overdose kills Kuwaiti as another dies in accident
KUWAIT CITY, Dec 21: The remains of an unidentified Kuwaiti man who allegedly died as a result of an overdose of drugs have been referred to Forensics, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The daily quoting security sources said the incident happened in the Ahmadi governorate.
The daily added when the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior received a report, paramedics rushed the victim to the Adan Hospital, but he was declared dead upon arrival. Police are investigating the death.
Teen perishes: The remains of a 19-year-old Kuwaiti who died on the King Fahd ibn AbdulAziz Road when his vehicle overturned have been referred to Forensics, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The daily without going into details said police and paramedics rushed to the spot when someone informed the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior but the victim had succumbed to his injuries.
Ex-MP fined: The Criminal Court has fined in absentia former MP Dr Daifallah Buramiya and an editor-in-chief of a newspaper KD 10,000 each, reports Al-Shahed daily.
This came following a libel suit filed by the Ministry of Interior accusing them of criticizing senior officials of the ministry and the former Minister of Interior Sheikh Jaber Al-Khaled.
Thieves caught: The Farwaniya police have arrested two Asians for allegedly stealing manhole covers and selling them for scrap in Amghara, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to security sources the suspects were caught red-handed in a suburb of Abdullah Al-Mubarak.
During interrogation the men are said to have admitted to the charge. They have been referred to the concerned authorities.
