Kuwaiti patient’s wallet stolen Drunk Asian creating nuisance arrested
KUWAIT CITY, Dec 19: An Asian expatriate was arrested by security operatives for consuming alcohol when the Operations Room received information that a drunken man was misbehaving in Ahmadi area. He was taken to the relevant authority for necessary action.
Wallet stolen: A Kuwaiti citizen receiving treatment at a government hospital in Ahmadi area filed a complaint against an unknown person who stole his wallet from his ward.
Wanted man held: A motorist was apprehended by patrolmen in Salmiya area, as they discovered he was involved in various criminal and drug related offenses.
The suspect has since been referred to Public Prosecution.
Pharmacy looted: A sum of KD 2,000 was stolen from a pharmacy in Ahmadi area.
According to security sources, a worker at the pharmacy filed a complaint with officers in the Ahmadi area police station to report the incident. A case was registered.
Asian mugged: Unknown people are said to have robbed an Asian expatriate of KD 160 cash at a commercial complex in Salmiya area and escaped.
The victim in his complaint provided the description of the suspects to policemen, and a case was registered for investigation.
Verdict reserved: The Criminal Court reserves judgment in the lawsuit filed by State Security against Professor of Law in Kuwait University Dr Obaid Al-Wasmi until Jan 16, 2012 to listen to the submission of the defense counsel, says Al-Seyassah.
Earlier, the court released Al-Wasmi on KD 1,000 bail bond, upon intervention by HH the Amir, while travel ban imposed on him was lifted. Al-Wasmi faces six counts of charges, out of which four relate to state security.

Building on fire: Firefighters put out fire that broke out in a building under construction in Salmiya area, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Firefighters had rushed to the spot soon after receiving information and managed to control the flames before they could spread to adjacent structures. There were no reports of casualties.
