Grieved Kuwaiti youth bashes up Egyptian doctor, 2 nurses

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 11: Securitymen arrested a Kuwaiti youth for beating an Egyptian doctor and two nurses at the Sabah Hospital.
The beating happened when the doctor informed the youth on the death of his father. Overwhelmed with grief, the youth lost control of his emotions. He beat the doctor and two nurses and destroyed some equipment in the doctor’s office.
The hospital management called the Operations Room at the Ministry of Interior, which deployed a team of securitymen from the Capital Security Directorate. The securitymen surrounded the hospital to prevent any untoward incident, especially after the arrival of a large number of relatives of the dead.
The youth was referred to Shuwaikh Police Station for the necessary legal action. He was released later as the doctor and the two nurses postponed filing a case for beating them to give him a chance to attend the burial of his father.

Wanted man held: A 26-year old citizen was apprehended by security operatives in Hawalli area, as they discovered he had been sentenced in absentia.
Sources said securitymen were on routine patrol in the area when they spotted the man who became confused in their presence. They discovered he was wanted after checking his details on computer. The suspect has since been referred to the relevant authority.

Jewelry, cash stolen: An Arab man filed a complaint at Salmiya Police Station against unidentified persons, who allegedly broke into his apartment in the area and carted away with KD1,000 cash and some pieces of jewelry.
According to the complainant, he was surprised to see the door of his apartment broken when he went home late at night. He then checked the contents of his apartment and to his dismay; he discovered the thieves had taken his money and jewelry.
 Police lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits and investigations are underway to arrest them.

Nothing to steal: A Kuwaiti youth filed a complaint at Salmiya Police Station, saying thieves broke the window pane of his vehicle. He said the thieves probably wanted to steal something from inside, but since he never keeps any valuables in his vehicle, they couldn’t lay their hands on anything.
