Nine get heads shaved for teasing girls Bangladeshi held for collecting ‘royalty’

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 10: Hawalli securitymen arrested nine men for harassing girls in commercial complexes in Salmiya area. The men were referred to Salmiya Police Station where their heads were shaved and they were made to write a good conduct pledge.

B’deshi held: Farwaniya police officers arrested a Bangladeshi, who posed as a gang leader to collect royalty from his compatriots and few other Asians in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh.  He was referred to the concerned security authority for questioning.

Duo held drunk: Security operatives apprehended two drunken youths in Salmiya. The officers noticed that the suspects’ car was moving in an erratic manner, so they waved them down. When the officers approached them for questioning, it didn’t take time before they realized the youths were drunk due to foul odor from their mouth. They have been referred to the concerned department for interrogation.

Fugitive nabbed: Security operatives nabbed a Yemeni fugitive, who had been evading arrest and a five-year imprisonment for his involvement in fraud cases. The officers traced the whereabouts of the criminal until they found him in Hawally.

Cash stolen from shop: Some unidentified men burgled a sweets shop in Jabriya where they carted away with KD 600.
A shop attendant was surprised to find the entrance door broken when he reported for work. He searched the cashier’s safe to determine the amount missing. Police lifted fingerprints at the crime scene for investigation.

‘I’ve got booze
’: Police have arrested a GCC national for consuming alcohol. The expatriate was reportedly standing on his vehicle in Salmiya area and was showing a bottle of liquor to people passing by. One of the passers-by took out the key from his vehicle and called police. The drunk was referred to authorities.
Meanwhile, police have arrested an Arab expatriate for consuming alcohol in Hawalli area.
Patrols on routine duty in the area noticed the unsteady gait of the man and had asked him to show his identity card. The Arab couldn’t produce one. While talking to him, officers realized that he was drunk and they also recovered a bottle of local brew from him. The Arab was referred to authorities for further action.
