D’ Islanders, Asian Air Safari dish out impressive victories PBAK-MoneyGram-SMDC Winter League elimination round KUWAIT CITY, Dec 9: In a week that saw scores soar sky high and dip down low, D’ Islanders and Asian Air Safari literally burned down the lanes in dishing out impressive victories over separate rivals in the fourth round of the ongoing elimination round of the 2011-2012 PBAK-MoneyGram-SMDC Winter Tenpin Bowling League being held at the Cozmo Bowling Center in Khaifan. In booking their enviable performance, D’ Islanders and Asian Air Safari both submitted an eye popping above 3100 pin fall scores. Also making their presence felt in the tenpin bowling team competition sponsored MoneyGram Money Transfer, SM Development Corporation, World Vital Gateway, Bahrain Exchange Co. and Cozmo Entertainment, were current league leader Oscar Strikers, Cozmo-1, Whiplash, NLB and Express Rollers.
Bowling like a house on fire, the sizzling hot pin busters of the D’ Islanders dried out the green thumbs of LEAF in lanes 7 and 8 of the first squad. Bannered by Marilyne Mariano and Danny Doctor, D’ Islanders quickly moved into the driver’s seat by subduing their opponents in the opening game of the 3-game series match via a 1014-908 count. And with Rolly David taking over the scoring chores in game two, the outcome of the match was never in doubt as D’ Islanders stamped their class once more over LEAF 993-914. Cashing in on the fine showing of Bert Pantanilla, Rolly David and Noel Japitana, D’ Islanders closed out their outing with a 1096-933 victory in game three to home with a 3128-2755 total pin falls win and the weekly high series plum as well. Not to be outdone were the lane masters of Asian Air Safari who were also smoking hot in their match opposite defending champion Klasmeyts Al Khadda Kana Controls in lanes 9 and 10.
